June 1, 2011: Florida Powerboat Club re-launched the Powerboating in Paradise TV show June 1, with ten new episodes produced and broadcast in HD. The show continues to air on SUN SPORTS, a FOX cable network.

Best TV to watch show on: Any brand name HD TV, either plasma, LCD, but the best are the new 3D LED televisions from Samsung, Sony and LG! You must carry the HD programming with your local service provider.
DISH Network Note: Channel 422 does NOT carry the Sun Sports signal in HD.
Show Schedule: Normal time slot: Wednesdays at 6:30 PM Est.
Schedule changes may occur in conjunction with major sport events, such as Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
New episodes may premiere a day earlier on Tuesdays at 6PM – when pre-empted by sporting events.
Reruns typically: Thurs 10:30am EST; Thurs nights 1:00AM;
Saturdays 1:30PM and/or 5:30 PM
Show Format: The Powerboating In Paradise TV series showcases the adventure and excitement of Florida Powerboat Club's poker run events from around the Sunshine State. Shot by professionally trained videographers from helicopters with the doors removed, the incredible camera angles and high-powered noise from the thundering engines, puts viewers right in the cockpits of these awesome offshore powerboats, as FPC members from around the globe throttle up to destinations in paradise. Florida Powerboat Club founder and president, Stu Jones, produces, directs and hosts the half-hour sports lifestyle show, ensuring that viewers are well-informed about the people, the places and the boats, resulting in an energized 22 minute highlight reel that is both educational and entertaining.
Show History: The orgininal series commenced in 1996, airing on Sunshine Network, and running through 1999. In the next few years, Florida Powerboat Club was featured on several other television networks, including E! Entertainment, The Travel Channel, Maximum Marine on Speedvision, and the Powerboat Television Show. In May 2007 the show returned to SUN SPORTS, still under the Fox Cable network umbrella. The satellite distribution, offered a tremendous national and international audience, via DISH Network and DIRECT. A viewing audience from across the United States, Canada and the Caribbean began to send their comments to the producer, saying they enjoyed the show, and saying it was unique in its content and exciting to watch. After thirty five episodes and several hundreds of broadcasts, the show was put on hold once again in summer 2009, due to the economic recession. All of these episodes are available to view on DVD, and can be ordered from the FPC office, at 954-545-1414.
