With this historic move from Miami Beach to Virginia Key, the new Miami Boat Show location is looking fantastic, with mammoth display tents the size of airplane hangers, paved roadways and thousands of feet of floating docks taking shape!
Transportation logistics presented challenges to organizers, therefore an extensive fleet of buses, shuttles and water taxis will deliver visitors to the boat show from various boarding locations including Coconut Grove, Downtown Miami, Bayside Miami and even from the Miami Beach Marina!
FPC will displaying in the air-conditioned display tent for 2016, and we will be providing VIP service to our FPC members, including a dedicated Ocean Hawk 33 center console as Member-only shuttle boat, sponsored by BoatsDirectUSA!
IMPORTANT: Registration deadline for MIAMI BOAT SHOW POKER RUN ( Post Card Inn rooms & dockage- IS NOW…so please register for the poker run asap if you plan to attend!)
The Miami International Boat Show is owned and operated by NMMA, and will stage its new show at Virginia Key, near the Rickenbacker Causeway. The Miami Convention Center will NOT have any show, nor with the SeaIsle Marina in Miami, former location of the in–water show. The new location will have extensive in–water dockage and displays. BAYSIDE Miami will continue to host Sail Miami. Remember that YACHTS MIAMI will continue to operate along Collins Ave near the Fountain Bleu Resort, and this is owned by the Florida Yacht Brokers Assoc. This is a Show Management venue, not related to the Miami International Boat Show.
Virginia Key is located by driving over the Rickenbacker Causeway towards Key Biscayne. The site is also known as the old Miami Marine Stadium, which has been closed for two decades.
There are NO viable accommodations options on Key Biscayne for visitors to the boat show, other than the lavish Ritz Carlton. Most visitors and marine trade will be staying at various hotels in Coconut Grove, Downtown Miami along the Brickell Ave. corridor, Biscayne Marriott & Doubletree Grand on Bayshore Drive, along with Miami Beach. ( South Beach). Any visitors who plan to share their time between the Miami Boat Show and the YACHTS MIAMI show..may want to consider just staying at a hotel in South Beach.
VIP Transportation for FPC Members:
For the first time ever, FPC will run a water-based shuttle to bring visitors to and from show. This is not a public ride, strictly for FPC members, sponsors and advertising clientele. This boat is provided by our sponsor, Boatsdirectusa, which sells Ocean Hawk, Blackwater and Deep Impact ..and will be displaying at the Miami show.
