The powerboating community has suffered a great loss with the passing of Louisiana native Michael Pierce JR, who died in a tragic car accident along with his father, Michael Pierce Sr. Friday, Dec 6, 2019. At just 39 years of age, Mike had accomplished so much in both his personal and professional life. He was married to his beautiful wife Nikki and was a loving father to three children. Mike ran a very successful automobile dealership, and found a passion in many forms of recreational motorsports, including powerboating, off-roading, and more recently flying. But it was the powerboating community and the exciting lifestyle it offered, which drew Mike & Nikki to poker runs and shoot-outs, fostering friendships with many wonderful people who shared the same passion for life. As far back as 2006, when Mike was only in his mid-twenties, he began attending the Emerald Coast Poker Run in Florida, with a Cigarette 42 Tiger. From that point on, the passion grew, the boats got faster, and the lifestyle fostered an extended family of friends that spanned from California to Florida. The tragic loss of Mike Pierce has shocked the powerboating community and everyone that was touched by Mike’s kind and fun-loving nature. And now, we must all join together and pray for his family who are suffering this tremendous loss.
