It is with great regret and disappointment that Florida Powerboat Club has been forced to postpone the Spring Key West Poker Run, scheduled for March 19-22, 2020. With the state-wide executive order from Governor DeSantis and additional sanctions by Key West city officials, all restaurants and clubs in Key West are now closed, which would make this event impossible to execute by FPC organizers.
Event rescheduled for FALL KEY WEST POKER RUN, OCTOBER 8TH-11TH
Furthermore, the Federal government’s social distancing order to restrict groups to no more than 10 persons at a time, would complicate the poker run event formats offered by FPC, which are generally socially-centric functions, focused on camaraderie social interaction. Proceeding with these event formats by FPC would be a blatant disregard for the welfare of our participants and for those service-providers who would be obligated to serve our group in various capacities.
Going forward, we are happy to report that this event will be rescheduled at a later date, when the coronavirus threat dissipates. Meanwhile, we urge all of our club members and industry colleagues to exercise prudence and follow CDC and government mandated guidelines to ensure the health and safety of you and your loved ones.
